Peeking Out

Karl LaLonde is a photographer as well as a painter. From northern New York’s 1000 Islands region he spent his high school and college years in the Hudson valley. He attended Dutchess Community College for Commercial art and BARD College for photography. For years, to relax, he and his wife have been taking long car rides through NY, Mass, VT and Conn. He says he photographs everything in nature from waterfalls to cloud formations. They walk and hike in the woods where LaLonde says he usually takes at least 100 to 200 exposures each trip. His favorite subjects are old cars, trucks and airplanes Usually the ones that haven’t operated for many years. “If they could talk they would all have their own heroic story to tell.” Says LaLonde.
